IMCOR Participates in the 2018 Arizonans for Children Back 2 School Bash/Resource Fair for Teens in Foster Care

IMCOR participated in the Arizonans for Children Back 2 School Bash/Resource Fair for teens in foster care on Saturday, July 28th, 2018. The IMCOR team spanned representatives from our corporate office, to our trades in the field, to our apprenticeship program. Our team was honored and excited to discuss career options with these students as they prepare to enter the workforce.

“I was excited to help at this job fair”, said Brandon Bergeron, Pipefitter Apprentice at IMCOR. “I want young people to know that a trade career doesn’t have to just be an hourly wage. I attend IMCOR’s paid apprenticeship program and plan to continue my education and grow with the company. In our program they encourage us to be more than just our trade and to set personal and career goals. There is a lot of opportunity for growth in our industry from trade licensed professionals, to project management, estimating, CAD design, sales, etc. My hope is to encourage these young people to think in terms of career, not pay, and to set long-term goals with a company like IMCOR that is dedicated to your success.”

As a side note, the team was pleasantly surprised to visit with many young women interested in a welding career – several following in the footsteps of family members. We’re very excited to welcome them when the time arrives.

Thank you very much to Arizonans for Children for having us and to our IMCOR team of volunteers! We appreciate your support and look forward to next year’s event.
