Pyramid Peak Water Treatment Plant

IMCOR assisted in the design and construction of this massive, award-winning treatment facility.

The Pyramid Peak Water Treatment Plant project required approximately 10 miles of process piping to facilitate the new 10 million gallon expansion lab and water facility for the City of Glendale. The project required a schedule acceleration of three-months and had to be integrated with City of Peoria’s water distribution system.  The overall expansion included the design of conventional Water Treatment Plant process basins, new dual media filters, chlorine facilities, an emergency chlorine gas scrubber, wash water recover basins, a 10-mg treated water reservoir, and distribution system improvements.

This project was awarded the Excellence in Environmental Engineering ® in Design Grand Prize  from the American Academy of Environmental Engineers.
